St. Francis Catholic School is a charter member of the National Junior Honor Society and will abide by its rules. Membership in a local chapter is an honor bestowed upon a student. NJHS's purpose is to:
create enthusiasm for scholarship
to stimulate a desire to render service,
to promote leadership,
to develop character,
and to encourage citizenship.
CANDIDATE CRITERIA:
The candidate must be a member of the seventh or eighth grade and designated as eligible by the chapter laws.
Candidates will be evaluated on academic standing. He/she must have a cumulative scholastic average of at least 93 % or the equivalent standard of excellence in CORE academic classes.
